The Ceylon Bible Society annually designates its 2nd Sunday in Advent to commemorate the Bible Sunday. This year it falls on the 5th of December 2021. You can arrange to celebrate this on any Sunday before or after 5th December 2021. We thank and praise God for giving us His mercies to celebrate the Bible Sunday this year as well.
We always had the opportunity to get valuable assistance of some of the designated Clergies representing the different denominations in making this day a reality. After discussions with the respected Committee Members, we were able to come up with a theme for Bible Sunday.
The theme for this year is “Assurance of Thy Word.”
We kindly request you to conduct a special Bible Sunday Service either in your church or as virtual on this day, and donate the collection to the Ceylon Bible Society. CBS utilizes the donations received to subsidize Sinhala and Tamil Bibles. We consider it a tremendous opportunity that God has given you in extending your service cheerfully towards the CBS Ministry.
