The Healing the wounds of Trauma for the Teens
Advanced 2nd online programme 2020
The Ceylon Bible Society was working with the partnership of the Trauma Healing Ministry unit of the American Bible Society since 2013 and the American Bible Society had implemented the above programme with the churches in Sri Lanka according to the concept of “train the trainers”.
For the second time, online programme of the Healing the Wounds of Trauma for the Teens, was organized by the Ceylon Bible Society on 23rd September 2020 at the CBS Auditorium gathering 8 healing group facilitators from different regions of Sri Lanka. We are aware of the fact that many such Teens are affected traumatically in numerous ways. They are desperately in need of proper guidance and counseling to overcome their stress or worries which ruins their lives. Hence, Ceylon Bible Society initiated to introduce this program aiming at such affected ones.
We are very much thankful to the main resource trainer Dr. Margi McCombs, Director of Children/Teen Trauma Healing, Trauma Healing Institute of the American Bible Society, who conducted this online training programme very successfully. Christina Ginchereau, trauma healing team’s Technology Support Specialist of the American Bible Society led the THI website orientation session and answered questions for the facilitators as well.
04 participants attended this program in person, and 4 participants attended via Zoom. At the end of this session the facilitators were recognized and certified as Training Facilitators and Master Facilitators in Training in the Trauma healing ministry in Sri Lanka.
