The Healing the wounds of Trauma for the Teens Advanced online programme 2020
“In the Gospels, both Matthew and Luke tell us that Jesus ministered to people in two ways, proclaiming the Gospel of God’s Kingdom and healing sick with many Illness.” (Matthew 4.23, 9:35, Luke 9:11).
For the first time in Sri Lanka, online programme of the Healing the Wounds of Trauma for the Teens, was commenced at the Ceylon Bible Society, Colombo 03 on 30th August 2020. We are aware of the fact that many such Teens are affected traumatically in numerous ways. They are desperately in need of proper guidance and counselling to overcome their stress or worries which ruins their lives. Hence, Ceylon Bible Society initiated to introduce this program aiming at such affected ones.
The main resource trainers are Dr. Margi McCombs, Director Children/Teen Trauma Healing
Trauma Healing Institute of the American Bible Society, Mr.James Covey, MA, LPC-S, Counselor, SIL &
Mrs. Eleanor Rice Covey, BA – Training Facilitator Teen, Trauma Healing.
There were 17 participants in this program. The Ceylon Bible Society was working with the partnership of the Trauma Healing Ministry unit of the American Bible Society. They had implemented the above programme to train the trainers in Sri Lanka. This program will continue till 01st of September 2020.
