Convening session on Introduction to Healing the Wounds of Trauma Counselling was conducted by Rev. Fr. Claude N Nonis, National director of the family apostolate of the Arch diocesan family apostolate and the Master facilitator of Children’s Trauma Healing Ceylon Bible Society for the resource persons and facilitators of the Board of the Christian Education of the Anglican Church on 15th of June 2019. This programme was held at the Kithu Sevana Board Room, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 07.
Participants were able to learn what is Trauma and how to deal with it through this session. There are around 25 persons attended this session. Most of them were teachers and facilitators those who are helping children and Sunday school teachers. The main aspect of this session was to make aware how to deal with the Easter Sunday incident recently went through as a nation.
Sessions were based on : Introduction to Trauma counselling, interfaith relationship & Mindfulness. This session was coordinated by Mrs. Sudeni Perera, Coordinator BOCE.
