On 20th of May, Rev. Priyantha Wijegoonawardena, General Secretary of the Ceylon Bible Society & staff members visited the Zion Church, Batticaloa.200 Tamil Bibles, New Testament Tamil audio DVD’s and some dry rations for the effected families were donated to Pastor Roshan Mahendran, Senior Pastor of the Zion Church.
The most important session was Mrs. Dileeni Abraham ,Master Facilitator in Classic Trauma Healing conducted a special session to the leaders, doctors, Pastors and volunteers in the region those who are involved in counselling. The session focused on “When a disaster strikes & how to overcome.” This meeting was coordinated by Mr. Dharshan who is a trained counsellor in the Zion Church.
Finally Ceylon Bible Society staff went see Master. Yeju who was severely injured and escaped from the bomb blast. Rev.Priyantha gave him a Holy Bible and gifts of Scripture material.
