“Forgive one another”

“Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.” Mark 11:25 (NRSV)

“After attending this programme I could forgive my parents whom I hated most”… This was a testimony given by a girl who attended to this children’s camp. Emotional abuse is more harmful than the physical abuse. Her life had been changed after she received the Word of God through the Scriptures during this healing programme.

Mrs. Pathmaseelie Gunetilake , Master Facilitator of Children’s Wounds of Trauma and her Assistant apprentice Facilitator Ms. Supuni conducted this camp for the 12 young girls in the “ House of Joy” Children’s home which is governed by the Anglican Diocese of Kurunegala. This camp was held from 08th to 11th of April 2019. This children’s camp is specially designed for the children’s who are undergone in different traumatic situations.

The Ceylon Bible Society staff members attended in the certification awarding ceremony with Fr. Ranjan Karunaratne, Dean of this institute and Rev. Lishni D.K. Nandaweera, Parish Priest of the Church of Living Christ , and he is the in-charge of this children’ home, Thalawa.

The Ceylon Bible Society provided all the materials and Holy Bibles were gifted to the children at the end of this programme.
