People in our communities are suffering from variety of problems including unhealed war trauma, current losses and grief, broken relationships and much more. “Healing the Wounds of Trauma” is a trauma healing program under the Ceylon Bible Society that can help the church be a place of healing by training church leaders to help their people. It is an excellent resource for pastors and church leaders to be equipped to help their people move towards God and healing.
For the 1st time in Mannar region the Ceylon Bible Society commenced healing the wounds of trauma adult’s initial equipping programme for the Clergy, Reverend sisters, Sunday school teachers and Lay leaders on Sunday, 02nd of December to the 05th of December 2018 at the “ Gnanodhayam “ OMI Centre, Mannar.This equipping Session will be held in Mannar as a residential programme and it will conducted till 05th of December 2018. The programme is Bible based and participatory, giving those who attend a meaningful experience.
This programme will be organized under the supervision of Rev. Fr. P. Claude N. Nonis, National Director- Archdiocesan Family Apostolate of the Roman Catholic Church & Training Facilitator, Adult’s Trauma Healing. The main resource trainers are Rev. Sr. Maria Thushika and Mr. Romulus Fernando.
