YOUTH AND CHILDREN EMPOWERMENT
In the world today the Youth is facing the most hardship’s, bad influences, addictions, and various antisocial activities and also a lack of belonging, with easy access to social media, Gambling, Drugs, and Prostitution, and the growing incidence of substance abuse and juvenile delinquency. Their imagination, ideals, considerable energies and vision are essential for the continuing development of the societies in which they live.
The Ceylon Bible Society is focusing on the youth and children of Sri Lanka who are constantly seeking out a purpose for their life. The organization plans to work with the youth and children
Immaterial of Religion, Race, or Creed to develop and nature them into a productive generation,
because the crimes in the community is constantly on rise.
PROJECT SUMMARY
The Ceylon Bible Society aim is to see a healthy gender balanced prosperous and productive society for youth and children. That they live in a conclusive environment. Ceylon Bible Society envisions to provide and opening for the skills and knowledge of the youth and children. So that they can recognize and use the resources around them for their spiritual, physical and mental development.
PROJECT GOAL’S RELATIONSHIPS TO OVERALL BIBLE SOCIETY STRATEGIC
The Ceylon Bible Society has in the past records of working with Youth and Children, for their development and inclusive growth and in continuation of that only it proposes to obtain the resources for the Youth and children Empowerment, which has the potential of integrating the values of a good and productive citizen in youth and children motivating them to lead a normal life by providing them a platform to develop and showcase their talents and skills with the Ceylon Bible society. The project proposes to select the most marginalized and vulnerable group of youth and children from our society and develop them into a productive, valuable, and empowerment citizen.
ABOUT THE BENEFICIARIES
The free thinking Youth and children having been shocked by the benefits that is been rendered towards them by the Ceylon Bible Society to uplift their lives been exposed to corruption and crime, due to unemployment, family background, poverty, school dropouts and those inclined to anti-social activities, and the youth and children who do not have direction or value to their lives.

PROJECT ACTIVITIES
Drug awareness camps, Heath check up, Bible quiz, Friendly atmosphere fellowship, Spiritual Movies, Bible reading, skits based on Bible stories, Lantern programme.
IMPACT
The youth and children and empowerment programme is a project implement by the Ceylon Bible Society to uplift the well-being of our youth and children in our community who are neglected may be due to poverty, school dropouts, community members from churches, organizations and institutions. The programme is highly beneficial not only for our youth and children of the community but for our society too. It envisages the development of a person, mentally, physically and spiritually and our society as a whole.It also envisages the development in the community which its inhabitants had been dreaming of since the time of their settlements. The projects has the capacity to turn the non-productive youth of our community into the responsible citizen who will work towards the spiritual development of them self as well as our society.
