The 204th Anniversary of the Ceylon Bible Society was celebrated with a thanksgiving. This was held on Monday the 1st of August 2016 at 5.15 pm at the Cathedral of Christ the Living Saviour, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 7. The Chief Guests at this event were Mr. Ishan & Mrs. Shanas De Lanerolle.
The Patron
of CBS, Rt. Rev. Dhiloraj Canagasabey, Bishop of Colombo together with the Apostolic Nunciature in Sri Lanka, His Excellency Arch Bishop Pierre Nguyen Van Tot, Mrs. Lakshani P Fernando, General Secretary of CBS, Mrs. Jayanthi David, President of the Women’s Committee of CBS, Clergy and members of General Council were present. The winner of the Primary category of the “30th Light of the World Speech Contest” Ms.Nichelle Keshia Gnanasundaram presented the Bible Reading.
